Walking over the Buitenplaats Elswout (blue)
Elswout is one of the most beautiful and watery estates in Kennemerland. The famous series of the VPRO Loenatik is filmed here. The old buildings have been beautifully restored. The orangery is a catering establishment and open to the public on Sundays. It is built in neo-Renaissance style. The big house was built in different nineteenth-century styles. Initially the estate had the French landscape style, since the eighteenth century it has been decorated in English landscape style. In the park it is attractive to walk through the height differences and romantic bridges.

We enter through the 17th century gatehouse. The driveway is ahead of us. We quickly turn right and follow the blue posts. We walk past the deer camp and then turn left. We now walk past the orangery. Then we turn right and arrive at the teahouse. We now walk past a pond and cross the bridge. We now go back and enjoy the view over the meadows and the big house. We cross a bridge again and walk along an overgrown wall. Then we walk past the formerly coach houses and horse stables over the driveway back to the parking lot.
Trees at Elswout
In the 100 to 200 year old trees are many cave brothers. In addition, stinzen plants thrive here almost all year round, which means that large parts of the country estate, particularly in early spring, turn into a sea of flowers.
